ADG1634BRUZ-REEL7 is an industrial grade and functional multiplexer/demultiplexer (MUX/DeMUX) and analog switch. It is specifically designed by Analog Devices (ADI) to serve as intelligent, high-performance interface between digital and analog systems. The package type is available in thick film technology with a standard TSSOP-20 (TSOP) lead configuration, which is suitable for any type of medium to high density bottom side equipment installation.The ADG1634BRUZ-REEL7 can be used to multiplex up to four low-level signals with a common ground. A wide range of arbitary, balanced, unbalanced, differential, and single-ended signals, with varying levels of speed and impedance, can be multiplexed with the ADG1634BRUZ-REEL7. The multiplexer has a large operating voltage (1.8V to 5.5V) with a low power draw. In addition, the IC features a high performance, low-loss, low-power switch that is capable of switching both AC and DC signals with minimal distortion.The corresponding demultiplexer can be used to demultiplex four signals with a common ground to their respective output pins. With the same data rate as the MUX, the DeMUX switches signals at a higher speed, with a lower operating voltage, and with increased Power Supply Rejection Ratio (PSRR) and antenna interference immunity.The ADG1634BRUZ-REEL7 has several applications in industrial, automotive, HVAC, industrial automation, robotics, medical, instrumentation and space fielding. It is used for a variety of purposes, including signal routing, signal buffering, analog power control, audio routing, noise and interference filtering, logic conversion, and data processing.The ADG1634BRUZ-REEL7 works by providing two amplifiers and two switches with a common control input. The amplifier steps up the input signal to a desired level and the switch channels this signal to the desired output. The first amplifier and switch are responsible for accepting the input signal while the second switch and amplifier are used to channel this signal to the output.When the common input is low, the signal is routed using one of the amplifiers and one of the switches. The pre-amplified input signal is first fed to the first switch which channels it to one of the two amplifiers. The amplifier then boosts the signal up to a desired level. This amplified signal is then fed to the second switch which routes it to one of the selectable outputs.When the common input is high, the signal is routed using the other amplifier and switch. The signal is routed to the second switch and the amplified signal is directed to one of the selectable outputs. This allows the user to select from four different signal sources and routes it to the desired output.Therefore, ADG1634BRUZ-REEL7 is a powerful, high-speed and low-power multiplexer and demultiplexesr that is designed for industrial and automotive applications. It is suitable for use in a variety of applications as it can be used to multiplex and demultiplex low-level signals with a common ground, high performance, low-loss switch capable of switching both AC and DC signals and with a high PSRR and antenna interference immunity.
