RF Evaluation and Development Kits, Boards are electronic appliances widely used in industry in order to evaluate the performance and functionality of a particular system. The ADL5243-EVALZ application evaluation board is one such example of an evaluation and development board. It is a low-power high performance 15.4kbps, 2GHz, complete RF system which provides the user with a comprehensive evaluation platform for a wide range of applications.

The ADL5243-EVALZ board is based on a Zarlink ADL5243-90 RF system – a highly integrated radio transceiver designed for Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Bluetooth and other communications protocols. It is comprised of the ADL5243-90 transceiver, a single chip radio transceiver integrated with both digital and RF functions as well as the ADL5243-CY mini receiver module which provides a low-noise sample rate converter and other signal conditioning components. This system is extremely suitable for low power and high performance 15.4kbps applications in the 2GHz range.

The evaluation board is built so as to allow for easy integration of the ADL5243-90 and the ADL5243-CY components. It is equipped with an easy to use graphical user interface for configuration and monitoring. This facility offers a user friendly platform for system evaluation and development.
