Working Principle:

The ADL5902ACPZ-R7 is a one to one detector circuit that works on the principle of detecting signals in the RF spectrum. The device utilizes two Schottky diode chains, which are connected in parallel across a single input. When a signal is detected by the device, the two diode current chains cause a drop in the voltage across the bias voltage resistor. This voltage drop is then measured by the output arm of the circuit.

The output arm, which contains a voltage multiplier circuit, is used to measure the peak voltage of the detected signal. Depending on the magnitude of the detected signal, the voltage multiplier circuit can generate a voltage up to 17.5V. Additionally, the voltage multiplier circuit is also used to generate the AFC voltage for the device.

The voltage multiplier circuit also contains a low-noise preamplifier, which is used to amplify weak signals before they are fed to the output arm. This low-noise preamplifier is necessary for high gain systems where weak signals need to be amplified before further processing. Once the signal has been detected and amplified, it is then fed to the detector output port.
