ADL5303ACPZ-RL is a special purpose amplifier designed to realize a wide range of linear and powerful applications. This amplifier provides a high-bandwidth, low-distortion, high-output drive and provides low-noise performance for applications that require a wide range of linear functions. Additionally, this amplifier offers excellent protection against short-circuits and thermal dissipation.
The ADL5303ACPZ-RL is a fully integrated, single-ended, wide-band amplifier operating with a supply voltage of 5V. The device is constructed of a metal-oxide-semiconductor (MOS) semiconductor substrate comprising an array of metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs). The amplifier exhibits internally matched low-distortion performance, excellent common-mode rejection, and low input-referred noise to ensure superior linearity, making the amplifier well-suited for high-performance applications.
The ADL5303ACPZ-RL utilizes a four-stage differential amplifier with excellent linearity and low thermal dissipation. The amplifier provides a wide bandwidth, excellent common-mode rejection, and a high circuit gain of 80dB. Additionally, the device can be configured via four external resistor networks to provide gain control, offset control and voltage limiting.
The four internal amplifier stages of the ADL5303ACPZ-RL are connected in series for improved linearity. The first stage comprises an n-type MOSFET, acting as the input stage, configured in a source follower arrangement to provide a low-impedance output. The second stage consists of a p-type MOSFET connected to the first stage and configured in a common-source amplifier for improved bandpass response.
The third stage comprises a p-type MOSFET connected to the second stage, also operating in a common-source configuration, and configured to provide a high-gain output. The fourth and final stage consists of an n-type MOSFET configured as a common-source amplifier to achieve the desired response. The amplifier stages are driven by an external transistor and output buffer.
The ADL5303ACPZ-RL has a wide operational temperature range of -40° to 85°C, providing superior thermal stability. The device is designed to operate safely, even under harsh conditions, such as in high-current applications. The amplifier is housed in a 16-pin dual-flat no-lead (DFN) packaging, which facilitates the use of surface-mount technology. Additionally, the device is exposed to a variety of protection circuits, including input overvoltage protection and thermal shutdown.
