PMIC - SupervisorsPMIC, short for Power Management Integrated Circuits, is an integrated system of power management specific to microcontroller applications that are rarely available in a discrete system. It is designed to provide power control, sequencing, sequencing, and protection from overvoltage conditions. In order to do this, PMICs must have an integrated subsystem of supervisors and controllers, whose purpose can be seen in the ADM6328-31ARTZ-R7.The ADM6328-31ARTZ-R7 is a 3V, 9-pin supervisor IC which is found in a variety of electronic systems. Its main purpose is to provide overvoltage and brownout protection as well as reset and restart mechanisms for the system. The ADM6328-31ARTZ-R7 contains a supervisor IC and is designed to protect digital systems from overvoltage and brownout conditions. It has a wide input voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V along with a low quiescent current of 500nA, making it ideal for low-power systems. The supervisor IC also contains a power-on-reset, active-low reset and active-high reset/restart functions which will reset/restart the system if the voltage is outside the acceptable range.The working principle of the ADM6328-31ARTZ-R7 can be broken down into two main components: the supervisor IC and the overvoltage/brownout protection. The supervisor IC in the ADM6328-31ARTZ-R7 is responsible for monitoring the power supply voltage and issuing a reset/restart signal whenever the voltage is outside the acceptable range. The reset/restart signal is generated at the start of the reset/restart sequence when the monitored voltage is outside the spec. The response of this circuit can be set to any one of the following options: a reset pulse, a reset delay, an active-low reset, an active-high reset, or a delay disabled.The ADM6328-31ARTZ-R7 is a powerful PMIC and supervisor IC which combines the advantages of a supervisor IC, overvoltage and brownout protection, and a reset/restart circuit.
