The ADN8834CB-EVALZ is an evaluation and demonstration board and kit that provides a high performance, complete platform with the latest technology to enhance experiential learning, demonstration, and product evaluation.The development board is based on the advanced Analog Devices ADN8834CB dual channel buck regulator IC, which provides both adjustable and fixed modes of operation. The adjustable mode can be set to 5V or 3.3V output while fixed mode provides 3.3V or 1.8V output respectively. This board is primarily used for applications such as voltage drop testing, load testing, motor control and graphics card control. The ADN8834CB-EVALZ board features two sets of adjustable output regulators and an integrated protection circuit as well as an onboard Debugger, short detector and oscilloscope trigger which enables designers to optimise the performance of their designs. The regulator outputs are provided in two different forms; one in a TO-220 package and the other in a surface mount SOT24 (MO-239).The ADN8834CB-EVALZ board includes several advanced functional features, enhancing the user’s experience. It has a soft start generator, enabling better control on ripple current and transient voltages on start-up, and an active droop mode providing ideal peak current sharing of up to four buck converters.
