It is capable of directly supplying up to 1.8A of current with a very low dropout voltage and low quiescent current. The ADP2107ACPZ-1.8-R7 is an ultra-low-noise, high-accuracy, linear regulator that provides excellent output accuracy and transient response.The ADP2107ACPZ-1.8-R7 is ideal for a variety of mobile, IoT and consumer applications. It is suitable for use in battery-based or USB-powered mobile device applications and IoT solutions where high output current and low noise are needed. The device is also suitable for powering rail-to-rail input and output analog circuits, such as switching converters, power conditioning systems and low-noise precision circuits.The ADP2107ACPZ-1.8-R7 is designed with several protective features that improve system reliability. It has overvoltage protection (OVP) and overcurrent protection (OCP) to protect the circuit, and an additional active dropping regulator (ADR) that reduces output voltage ripple. Furthermore, the device has low noise operation, fast transient response and non-overload lock-out protection. Additionally, it has excellent load regulation, low quiescent current and highly accurate output voltage providing reliable system operation.The ADP2107ACPZ-1.8-R7 is a high-performance DC/DC switching regulator that works in three modes: step-down, step-up and current-mode buck mode. It also has a minimum on/off times of 1.2/2.0 μs and a wide operating voltage range of 0.7-5.5V. The device operates over a wide input voltage range from 2.0 to 4.5V and is able to support a wide input voltage range from 0.7V to 5.5V. The device is capable of generating output voltages that range from 0.8V to 4.6V.The ADP2107ACPZ-1.8-R7 contains an integrated switched capacitor voltage converter (SCV) and an internal regulated charge pump providing regulated output voltage without any additional external components. The SCV employs a constant PWM (pulse-width modulation) frequency control technique providing excellent line and load regulation with nearly 90% efficiency at full load. The internal charge pump can provide up to 3A of output current and provide a regulated output voltage without any external components.The ADP2107ACPZ-1.8-R7 also contains an integrated error amplifier that provides an internal feedback loop to regulate the output voltage. The device incorporates an internal voltage reference that can be used to set the desired output voltage. The voltage reference has a high accuracy of ±2%. The device also contains a soft start function to ensure the output voltage smoothly ramp up during turn-on, which minimizes inrush current and prevents the device from current hogging.
