The ADP2108ACBZ-1.3-R7 is a Dual Configuration Buck Synchronous Step-Down DC/DC switch regulator that provides a reliable and cost-effective solution for powering a variety of systems across different markets. It is an easy-to-use, low power and high performance DC/DC switch regulator solution for any application requiring excellent power conversion efficiency.
This PMIC - Voltage Regulators - DC DC Switching Regulators operates in both low display and high display configurations, providing up to 3A of output current with an input voltage ranging from 0.8V to 1.9V. In low display mode it provides up to 1.0A output current at 0.8V - 1.0V and in high display mode it provides up to 3.0A output current at 0.7V - 1.9V. It is able to handle up to 93% efficiency at both high and low output current. This reduces the noise and heat generated by the system.
It features a pulse frequency range of 500KHz to 1MHz with excellent Line and Load Transients. It has a Maximum Operating Temperature Range of -40°C to +105°C. It is an ideal solution for applications such as set-top boxes, media players, digital audio systems, industrial power systems and DC/DC converters.
The Working principle of the ADP2108ACBZ-1.3-R7 synchronous step-down DC/DC switch regulator is based on the principle of synchronous Step-down voltage conversion. Its integrated MOSFETs, synchronous rectifier and switching controller form a complete and efficient DC/DC converter solution, providing stable and clean output with excellent load and line transients.
The integrated high-current, high-efficiency MOSFETs operate with a fixed frequency, while the switching controller monitors the output load and dynamically adjusts the operating frequency to maintain optimal efficiency. This Adjustable PWM Switching Frequency allows the circuit to maintain maximum efficiency over a wide range of load currents. The controller also provides a low-power mode, enabling additional power savings.
The ADP2108ACBZ-1.3-R7 has an integrated overvoltage and overcurrent protection, enabling it to shut down the output without any external input or support. The built-in overcurrent protection function protects the device against overload conditions.
