ADR4533ARZ is a high-performance voltage reference device featuring excellent temperature stability and accuracy. It is part of the voltage reference family from Analog Devices and belongs to the PMIC – Voltage Reference category. Working PrincipleThe ADR4533ARZ employs a bandgap reference circuit that uses an thermal voltage drop due to temperature dependence of a passage current designed in an N-well CMOS process. This voltage drop creates a bias voltage that is applied to the input buffer of a differential amplifier. The buffer amplifies this signal as well as a reference current. The reference current is derived from a second thermal voltage drop, due to the same process used to create the bias voltage.
The amplified signal is used as a feedback input to the differential amplifier and the amplifier strives to set the output to the selected output voltage. The amplifier compresses its gain as the reference currents increase or decrease. This action controls the temperature coefficient, drift and long term stability of the output voltage.
ApplicationsThe high accuracy and temperature stability of the ADR4533ARZ reference makes it suitable for high-performance systems and data acquisition. It is also ideal for industrial test-and-measurement systems, data acquisition systems, power plant machinery and controllers, automobiles and communication systems.
ADR4533ARZ is also suitable for applications such as power-supply sequencing, voltage monitor with reset, analog-to digital converters and user-programmable DACs. Its high bank switching accuracy of 0.01% makes it ideal for precision voltage divides and low-dropout regulators. The device can also be used for optical transceiver/LOS/SFD control and other similar applications.
