An analog-to-digital converter (ADC) is a type of data acquisition device and an integral part of many electrical systems. The ADS1210U also features a watchdog timer to detect and prevent data corruption. The watchdog timer detects any changes in the ADC output and will trigger an interrupt if the data does not match the expected pattern.
