Analog to Digital Converters (ADC) capture electronic signals in analog form and convert them into digital signal representations. They are used in a wide range of applications, including data acquisition, signal conditioning, and digital signal processing. The ADS1241E, a member of Texas Instruments\' family of Analog to Digital Converters (ADC), is a very efficient and cost-effective device for high speed and precision data acquisition.
The ADS1241E converter utilizes a multistage sigma-delta architecture and over-sampling technique to achieve high speed and resolution. The on-chip programmable gain and offset calibrations enable low power, low cost, and very wide dynamic operation. The ADS1241E has three working modes: continuous acquisition mode, single acquisition mode, and burst acquisition mode.
