Analog to digital converters, or ADC, are used to convert analog signals into digital signals. In turn, this digital information can be processed by digital devices, such as computers. The ADS4225IRGC25 is a high-performance, 16-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC), with an integrated on-chip Digital Down Converter (DDC). It is suitable for a variety of data acquisition and industrial control applications, such as automotive, aerospace, and robotics.

The ADS4225IRGC25 is an ADC with a high step size integral non-linearity (INL) performance, low glitch energy, and low power dissipation in a 2.5-kSPS to 40-kSPS sample rate range. The device is 10-bit or 16-bit resolution and is 5V tolerant. It has a differential input voltage range of ±2.0V and a single-ended 0V to 4.0V. The device also includes an integrated front-end multiplexer (MUX) to support up to 8 channels of input, allowing users to switch between channels quickly and serially.
