The ADS4149IRGZR is a high-speed serial Analog-to-Digital converter (ADC) with an integrated 12-bit (or higher) A/D converter core, with an easy to use control-port interface. It is designed to provide both low-noise performance and high-dynamic range while optimizing board space. The ADS4149IRGZR is typically used in data acquisition applications such as multi-channel signal capture, industrial test and measurement, consumer electronics, automotive, and medical.

The ADS4149IRGZR has 12-bit (or higher) resolution, a sampling rate of up to 1.4 GS/s on the standard 5-pin version, and 400 MS/s on the 4-pin version. Its signal input bandwidth is up to 400 MHz, and its effective number of bits (ENOB) is defined as >9.2. Its noise floor is as low as 8 pV/√Hz, making it a great choice for applications requiring high signal-to-noise ratios. Furthermore, it features a wide range of analog gain options and sample count start or stop input options.

The operation of the ADS4149IRGZR is based on cyclic sampling, where each input channel is cyclically sampled and converted in the ADC followed by a serial data output. This ADC, then, outputs the digital result with valid flags on the serial output at the end of the conversion.
