The ADS7744HIBDWR (hereinafter referred to as the "ADC") is an analog-to-digital conversion chip designed to support high-speed, high-resolution data acquisition and control applications. This ADC is part of the Data Acquisition – Analog to Digital Converters (ADC) family. Its main purpose is to convert a continuous analog voltage signal into a series of digital codes for further processing. This product provides an ideal solution for many industrial applications, including process control and measurement, data logging, instrumentation, and robotics.The ADS7744HIBDWR works on a differential input structure. It is composed of four 16-bit ADCs with a sampling rate of 40 MHz. Each ADC has its own independent internal reference, allowing for multiple-input conversions. Through the use of two pairs of integrated 10-kHz low-pass filters, it can effectively reduce the noise on the input signals and maintain excellent dynamic performance. With its high input impedance, this ADC can accurately capture signals with a bandwidth of 1 MHz while maintaining its low noise levels.The ADS7744HIBDWR is designed to operate on a 3.3 V or 5 V single supply, while its digital outputs are compatible with both 3.3 V and 5 V logic. This makes the ADC suitable for embedded systems and portable applications that run on limited power sources. Additionally, the ADC features low power operation, ensuring stable operation in various temperature environments.Apart from the differential input structure, other advanced features of the ADS7744HIBDWR include its True Three-Level CalibrationTM architecture, its 24-way simultaneous sampling capability, and its built-in power-on reset circuit. The initial offset and gain adjustment of the ADC can be done in real-time without external switches. Thanks to its powerful auto-zero and auto-calibration functions, the ADC can automatically correct any non-linearity errors and drift errors.In general, the ADS7744HIBDWR is an excellent data acquisition device, suited for various industrial and laboratory applications that require high sampling speed and high-resolution performance.
