Analog-to-Digital converters (ADCs) are the elemental building blocks of many electronic systems that process analog signals. Working Principle

The ADS8028EVM-PDK connects to a host computer via the USB connection and provides a direct analog signal input. The analog signals are then passed through an anti-aliasing filter and a sample-and-hold circuit before being converted to digital form by the ADS8028. The outputs of the ADC are held in an internal 10-bit bus, from which the digital output is extracted.The Evaluator board can be operated in either single shot or continuous mode. In single shot mode, the board performs one conversion and then terminates operation. In continuous mode, the board runs at the specified rate and continuously processes new data.The ADS8028EVM-PDK is also equipped with onboard I/O ports for ease of data communication and knowledge exchange. The I/O ports can be used for connecting external devices to the Evaluator board, like the TI TM4C1094XL ControlCARD, which can be used to generate a control signal that can be used to start and stop the continuous acquisition or to control the board\'s virtual instrumentation.Overall, the ADS8028EVM-PDK provides a low cost, low voltage evaluation platform for the ADS8028 evaluation board.
