The ADS8324EVM is a complete evaluation platform from Texas Instruments for their 24-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC). It is designed for easy operation and connection with commonly used signal test and data acquisition systems. It features a fully integrated, integrated clock oscillator, data acquisition system, user-friendly control software, and a simple parallel interface. The evaluation board is a powerful tool for evaluating high-precision and low-noise analog-to-digital conversion technology.The ADC serves as the keystone in many signal processing and embedded systems. In general, the analog-to-digital conversion (ADC) process is performed by an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) module which takes an analog signal and converts it into a digital representation. Analog signals can be generated from a variety of sources such as sensors, transducers, and signal front-end components. The analog signal is then quantized using the ADC and then encoded into a digital representation, typically using either the Pulse Code Modulation (PWM) method or the oversampling Delta-Sigma (sigma) method.The ADS8324EVM is capable of processing high-precision analog signals. A very high input voltage range of up to 2.5 V is provided by the ADS8324EVM. The voltage swing of both inputs is internally limited in the device and no external resistor is required. Furthermore, the ADC can achieve a maximum resolution of 24-bit over a conversion period that ranges from 2 us to 4 ms . The device also features a low noise level, low power consumption, and low power supply rejection. The device has a very wide dynamic range, enabling it to convert signals from low-noise applications to very complex signals.The ADS8324EVM evaluation board includes the ADS8324EVM analog-to-digital converter, an integrated clock oscillator, an integrated voltage regulator, and the necessary cables and connectors for connection to a PC. The integrated ADC and clock oscillator provide the necessary timing and synchronization for accurate data acquisition with the ADC. The board can be connected to a test and measurement system or data acquisition system via a simple USB connection.
