The ADUM1310ARWZ isolator is designed to isolate industrial and consumer sensors, devices, and audio/video signals that are connected to a common bus or cable. It provides very high isolation levels between the input and output sides of the isolator, up to 10kV/µs. This isolator is capable of handling a wide range of signal speeds and data rates, from standard fast Ethernet and Ultra2 SCSI to radio frequencies and power line signals.

In terms of signal handling, the ADUM1310ARWZ is capable of isolating data streams up to 400Mbps.The device also provides protection against transients, EMI/RFI fields, and power surges. The ADUM1310ARWZ has two independent power supplies for both the driver and receiver side. This allows it to provide excellent protection against power loss on either side of the isolation barrier.

The ADUM1310ARWZ digital isolator operates with a double-pole double-throw analog switch, where the electrical potential is maintained across the interface via a capacitive transfer.
