The AEDB-9340-J13C is a rotary encoder used in a wide range of applications. It is commonly used for measuring the angular position of mechanical components, such as a motor or axle. The encoder’s working principle is based on the optical principle of image rotation. A rotary encoder is composed of two optical elements, a stationary encoder wheel or disk, and a rotary encoder wheel or disk. These two wheels are not connected and rotate independently, and each contains a pattern of opaque and transparent sectors. When the rotary disk rotates, the pattern of sectors on its surface projects onto the fixed disk, resulting in an alternating pattern of opaque and transparent lines.The AEDB-9340-J13C is an incremental encoder that consists of two hall elements, an activation plate, a bearing, and a spindle. The bearing is located in the center of the encoder and houses the spindle, which is then connected to the optical disks. When the device is in operation, the optical disks rotate at a constant speed. The two hall elements are mounted on the activation plate and act as sensors to detect the pattern of the opaque and transparent sectors on the optical disks. The output signal generated by the encoder is then translated into a series of binary pulses.
