AEDL-5810-U12 Application Field and Working Principle

Working Principle of AEDL-5810-U12

The AEDL-5810-U12 uses an innovative non-contact absolute measurement technology and advanced absolute technology. It contains non-contact optical scanning parts and a code disk. The optical scanning parts are divided into two parts. The most inner part emits infrared light with a wavelength of 940nm. The outside part is the detection area, where a special adjusting mirror is installed for scanning and detecting the changes of the mark and light intensity on the code disk.

The code disk is divided into the fixed background and the printed detection area. The mark detection area is divided into four parts with inner and outer quadrature patterns, and two parts with resolute lines and transparent areas. The light lines on the fixed background reflect the reflected light while the transparent area will block the light. The light intensity after the mark detection area will be detected by the optical scanner.

Then the output signal is obtained and transmitted to the decoding circuit to calculate the number of pulses, which is relative to the distance of the turning shaft. The decoding circuit is using the counting algorithm to obtain and output the absolute angle of the rotating shaft base on the calculation of the number of pulses. The output interface is used to provide the corresponding value to the external system through radio frequency, serial bus, and analog signals.
