Working Principle

The AEH15G48N is a DC–DC converter which converts an unregulated input voltage to a regulated output voltage. The DC–DC converter acts as a primary regulator, conditioning the input voltage to a level suitable for driving the PFM regulator. The PFM regulator, which is dynamically adjusted to the load current, then provides the output voltage regulation. Its wide input voltage range of 18-36V allows the AEH15G48N to be operated from a variety of unregulated power sources. The converter is also equipped with Power-on-Reset and Over-Voltage protection to protect against adverse operating conditions.
