AEH15US03 Application Field and Working Principle

AEH15US03 is a family of AC/DC desktop and wall adapters. They are designed to offer ultra-compact size, high efficiency, and multiple protection features. All AC/DC desktop and wall adapters are also designed with power output requirements up to 15 watts and 100-240V input range.

It is mainly applied in consumer electronic, industrial control, instrumentation, networking system, and communication system. And the most typical applications include smart phones, tablets, wireless communication system, medical equipment, batteries, and portable electronics.

The working principle of AEH15US03 mainly lies in its utilization of transformers. It consists of several stages. First, the input of 110V AC power is rectified by the rectifier bridge. The output of the rectifier bridge is filtered by the output capacitor, then the DC power is fed into the primary side of the transformer.

The secondary side of the transformer steps down the voltage. The output of the transformer is rectified, filtered, and regulated by the IC, then leads to output lines. The output of the IC is dinamicished but without waveform distortion. In addition, the design also considers the requirements of EMC and EMI to reduce noice.

The overall efficiency of AEH15US03 can reach up to 87.5%, and it provides multi-level protections. These include extra protection circuitry against short circuit, overload, and over-voltage. For safety reasons, it complies with IEC60950 and IEC62368 safety regulations and does not require an earth connection.

This product also provides active PFC compliance and green certification, as well as the optional workload up to 100% test. All models come with certificates for further assurance to purchasers, such as UL/cUL, TUV, FCC, and CB. For long-term reliability, extended temperature range (-20°C to+50°C), burn-in tests, and other tests are conducted.

To further meet the needs of customers, different models offering different types of plugs, including the US, Europe, Australia, UK, and other types. It also offers adjustable output voltage with a range of 9V-14.5V and adjustable output current with a range of 0.8A-1.3A.
