AK2570P is a low-power, high-performance full-function magnetic encoder used in various professional applications. With its excellent performance, it is widely used in the motor controllers, robots, intelligent control systems, monitoring cameras and other systems. AK2570P is a magnetic encoder based on Hall effect. It uses three cylindrical magnets to form a closed magnetic field. Hall element senses the magnetic flux density of the three magnetic poles of the cylindrical magnet and outputs corresponding pulse signals. Based on the phase difference between the output signals from the three Hall elements, AK2570P calculates the relative angular displacement between the rotating member and the stator in real time. It can replace optical encoders, potentiometers and other rotary systems, with no need for external power supply, and can be operated in harsh environment.

The application field of AK2570P can be divided into two parts: low speed and high speed. As its rotation speed exceeds 2,000 samples/sec, it can be used as the rotational speed or displacement sensor of a motor controller, robotic arm, unmanned vehicle, or monitoring camera. At low speeds, AK2570P can be used as a relay and stepping motor controller or as a monitoring control system for various small machines.

The working principle of AK2570P is based on the Hall effect. When an electromotive force is applied to a conductor in a magnetic field, a transverse force is generated in the conductor. This force generates a potential difference between the two edges of the conductor perpendicular to the electrical field. This phenomenon is called the Hall effect. The Hall element can convert the magnetic field into a voltage and current signal. The Hall element is a sensitive semiconductor device, which has the advantages of high precision, wide dynamic range, strong waveform stability and low power consumption.

AK2570P uses three Hall elements, which are placed at an angle of 120 degrees in the same plane. When a cylindrical magnet is rotates, its magnetic induction changes along the sensing surface of the three Hall elements. The magnitude of the induced voltage depends on the angle and strength of the magnetic field, and the direction of the magnetic field is indicated by the polarity of the voltage.

AK2570P combines with three Hall elements to form a detection system. The signal detection chip processes the signal of the three Hall elements in real time and converts them into corresponding pulse signals. The output from the third element causing the pulse signal to interact between each other and acquire phase difference, which can indicate the relative distance from the center of the encoder to the rotating body. By calculating the phase difference, the encoder can detect the angle of rotation and output it as a signal.
