The AK4125XF is a precision dual (mono/stereo) digital-to-analogue converter. It consists of two multi-bit current-output converters, an integrated low-jitter clock generator, and a 24-bit digital filter. This device is suitable for various digital-to-analogue conversions, including Hi-fi audio and photo sensor applications. This converter has an integrated digital filter is capable of providing excellent sound quality and high resolution with low noise and distortion. The main principle behind the AK4125XF is the use of two current-output multi-bit Analog-to-Digital (ADC) converters. The digital-to-analogue processing is then carried out by the integrated low-jitter clock generator. This clock generator is used to feed both the digital-to-analogue convertors (DAC) and the digital filter. The output of the digital filter is then sent to the A-Law and μ-Law converter. The output of the A-Law and μ-Law converter is then sent to a low-noise, low-distortion Class-AB output amplifier, where it is turned into an acceptable analog signal.
The AK4125XF also features a 24-bit Digital Filter (DF) providing interchangeable digital filter parameters. The df is optimised for minimal latency, minimalPass-band Ripple and minimal Stop-band Attenuation. The DF also provides minimum phase response and extends the effective SFDR of up to 128dB. The current output ensures that the AK4125XF is compatible with a wide range of analog loads such as the common low-voltage bipolar and capacitive loads.
