AK5720VT Integrated Circuits (ICs)

The AK5720VT is a high-precision data acquisition system designed for applications in the fields of automotive, industrial control, medical, environmental monitoring and transport. The device offers an extensive portfolio of features, including A/D and D/A conversion, serial communication, digital input/output and analog input/output (I/O) options. It is also compatible with various digital data acquisitions standards such as CAN, LIN and J1939.The AK5720VT combines high-precision analog-to-digital (A/D) conversion with digital-to-analog (D/A) conversion, as well as digital input/output (I/O) ports and serial communication functions, supporting a wide range of application fields. It also has programmable gain stages for A/D conversion, thus providing an ideal solution for applications with reference signals of varying amplitude.The AK5720VT’s A/D conversion section is based on a 10-bit quantization, while the D/A conversion operates with a 12-bit resolution. With its programmable filter coefficients, the device ensures an optimal signal bandwidth for a given application. In terms of digital I/O, up to 12 lines are available, allowing direct connection to digital sensors and LIN bus systems. The AK5720VT also features RS-485/RS-232/CAN transceivers and 3/4/5 multi-function I/O ports.The working principle of the AK5720VT is based on a differential input architecture, in which an analog signal is differentially amplified and then converted into a digital signal. The differential pairs have a fixed gain of 1 and different offsets, so that the user can adjust the input signal range for greater accuracy. The analog signals are then sampled using an ADC using 10 bits of resolution, which is then converted to a digital signal for further processing.The output data from the AK5720VT is then available in a variety of formats, including CAN, LIN, and ProfiNet protocols. CAN is an industrial communications standard used in controlling, monitoring and diagnostics of machines, while LIN is a cost-efficient serial communication protocol designed for low-cost networking. Additionally, both the CAN and LIN protocols provide basic diagnostic monitoring capabilities.The AK5720VT is the perfect solution for automating the data acquisition process, providing accurate, real-time measurements with an extensive variety of features and compatibility with several digital data acquisition standards.
