Memory
AK6508CS memory consists of a large number of memory cells located on a single chip. Each cell consists of a single transistor and a capacitor within an integrated circuit. The transistor acts as a switch that controls the movement of electric charge in and out of the capacitor. When the switch is closed, the electric charge is stored in the capacitor. When the switch is opened, the electric charge is released, allowing the memory cell to be accessed.

AK6508CS memory applications range from digital signal processing (DSP), image processing, research and development, to military and medical applications. For example, AK6508CS memory may be used in digital signal processors to store program code, repetitive data, or working intermediate data. In medical imaging and research, AK6508CS memory is often used to store high-resolution images, enabling fast and accurate correlations. Military applications often require the highest memory performance and reliability to store large volumes of sensor and telemetry data for real-time or post-mission analysis.
Working principle:
A single AK6508CS cell is composed of an access transistor and a single storage capacitor. When the access transistor is set in the ON state, the stored charge is collected from the capacitor, providing a logic state “1” at the data out port. To store a logic state “1” in the AK6508CS cell, the access transistor is switched to the OFF state, allowing the internal circuit to charge the capacitor to a predetermined voltage.
The AK6508CS cell must then be freshly charged (if the stored data is a “1”) or discharged (if the stored data is a “0”) for each cycle. This can be done by connecting the access transistor to a voltage source of predetermined values. The charge stored in the AK6508CS memory cells will last for ten years, even at extreme environmental conditions.
