The AL6562EV1 Evaluation Board is a non-dimmable, constant current AC/DC LED driver, described as an off-line, two-stage, constant output current and constant output voltage, buck mode driver with advanced features and performance. It provides the features necessary to drive small to large white power LEDs, with stable current and voltage regulation. This board combines high efficiency and low cost, making it suitable for a range of applications.The AL6562EV1 Evaluation Board is designed using a buck topology with two power transistors, a primary P-channel MOSFET, and a secondary N-channel MOSFET. This evaluation board can accept both AC and DC via its input terminals. The board includes a wide range of features like: CC/CV regulation; protection from over current and over temperature; open and short circuit protection; and adjustable output current.When the input voltage is applied, the evaluation board is regulated by its built-in CC/CV buck pre-regulator. The evaluation board regulates the input voltage to an optimal voltage for the connected LEDs. This optimal voltage is determined by the set adjustable current and the characteristics of the LEDs connected.The protective functions of the board includes over current protect, over temperature protect and short circuits protect. When the board senses any excessive current draw, it will inhibit current delivery and trips the LED protection circuit. In the event of a over-temperature, the board will shut itself off and disconnects the power source. In the case of a short circuit, the board will automatically shut down until this condition has been removed. The AL6562EV1 Evaluation Board is highly efficient, achieving up to 96.7% efficiency. This means that the evaluation board can handle a large load at a lower power consumption. Additionally, the board includes an onboard regulation circuit which provides a precisely regulated output current that can be adjusted from 6mA to 350mA.The AL6562EV1 Evaluation Board also features a wide dimming range (10~300mA), allowing the user to control the luminance of the connected LEDs. It also supports both PWM and analog mode dimming control.The AL6562EV1 Evaluation Board provides a reliable and cost-effective way to drive White Power LEDs in a range of applications, including street lighting, vehicle lighting, and indoor lighting. The evaluation board is designed using high quality components and built with advanced features, making it one of the best LED drivers available on the market.
