Linear – Comparators

The linear comparator is defined as a special type of electronic amplifier whose output is either saturated high or saturated low and is used to perform certain electronic switching operations. The linear comparator is sometimes referred to as a linear difference amplifier and is used for the comparison of two input signals and provides an output representing the result of the comparison. There are many few brands of linear comparators such as Texas Instruments, Linear Technology, and Analog Devices, however the most popular linear comparator is the ALD2302PAL.

ALD2302PAL Working Principle
