This device requires a coil power of 17VA to operate wherein voltage ranges from 40-110VAC. It has two pole change-over connection which allow the connection of two electrical items between the normally open and normally closed contacts. The contacts are made with silver alloy plated with nickel or gold which offer high insulation and have the capability of carrying up to 20A at 250VAC. On the basis of the applied coil current, the ALZ22F24 works in three different modes. When the applied coil current exceeds the setting value for the minimum current, the armature lever of the ALZ22F24 works instantly and makes the connection between the normally open and normally closed contacts. As soon as the applied coil current drops below the set value for the minimum current, the armature lever moves and breaks the connection between the normally open and normally closed contacts. If the current applied to the coil is greater than the setting value for the maximum current, the armature lever gets stuck, preventing any further movement of the lever or any operation at this point.The speed at which the current is applied to the coil and the ambient temperature, directly affects the performance of the ALZ22F24. As the ambient temperature increases, the temperature at which the switch operates increases, thereby decreasing the speed of the switch. As the ambient temperature decreases, the temperature at which the switch operates decreases, thus increasing the speed of the switch. The ALZ22F24 offers the overload protection and prevents any possible damage caused to the switch due to an overload of current.In terms of its application field, the ALZ22F24 relay is most suitable for installations requiring heavy-duty motor, solenoid and valve operations.
