Working Principle

AP2192SG-13 is a combined Power Distribution Switches and Load Drivers device. It works on the principle of "on/off" control of power delivery to the load. The device comprises of two channels, one for controlling a high side switch (HSS) and one for controlling a low side switch (LSS). The input pins of both channels are connected to a microcontroller, which drives the inputs by providing an appropriate voltage signal. Depending on the logic level of the inputs, the power outputs (HSS and LSS) are either enabled or disabled. In the case of a high side switch, the input signal to the HSS defines whether the current will flow through the load (if the signal is high) or not (if the signal is low).
