• AP2303MTR-G1 Working Principle

The AP2303MTR-G1 has an integrated Boost Converter and buck–boost topology. During operation, the voltage sourced from a input voltage source is stepped down to the required output voltage by a high-efficiency Buck/Boost circuit. The output voltage is set by various resistive dividers connected between the internal 1.8 Volt reference and the output voltage pins. The internal 1.8V reference is always compared to the feedback signal at the FB pin.When the FB voltage is lower than the internal voltage, the output is boost mode operation. The internal Boost FET will turn ON and the inductor current rises. When FB voltage is greater than the reference voltage, the output is buck mode. The internal Boost FET will turn OFF, and the inductor current recovers slowly. The output voltage is also corrected with the voltage divider set up. At the same time, the load current limits are monitored and protected.
