PMIC - Voltage Regulators - Linear is a common field of Power Management Integrated Circuit. The AP7343-33FS4-7B is a two-channel low dropout (LDO) linear voltage regulator integrated circuit (IC) integrating two identical LDOs. It utilizes a low on-resistance, low dropout current of 5-to-10 mA (maximum) and low gate charge, making it highly suitable for voltage regulation in many different applications. This output voltage is fed to the Gate-Source of the switch. When the output voltage drops below the reference voltage, the voltage error amplifier increases the current through the Gate-Source of the switch, thus increasing the switching frequency, and the output voltage is restored to the reference.

The AP7343-33FS4-7B voltage regulator also has built-in thermal protection, current limiting, reverse battery protection, and a power on/off feature. It also has a programmable soft-start feature, which prevents any inrush current from occurring when the voltage regulator is turned on. This also helps prevent overshoot of the output voltage and improves transient response when the voltage regulator is enabled or disabled.
