Application field

The AP7365-10WG-7 is a low-dropout (LDO) linear regulator with a 1.3A load current capability and operates over an input voltage range of 2.6V to 6V. It has an adjustable output voltage which can be set within an output voltage range of 0.8V to 5V. The AP7365-10WG-7 is able to provide stable output voltage and supply of power with low dropout, fast transient response and low total power dissipation. It\'s suitable for a wide range of applications including applications such as notebook personal computers, battery-powered hand-held devices, portable medical equipment and various rapid transient applications such as portable audio amplifiers.

Working principle

The AP7365-10WG-7 features a current-mode architecture which provides a fast transient response at light loads - 10mA to 1.3A - and high capacitive load stability.At light loads, the AP7365-10WG-7 reaches a load regulation of *typical* 1%.At higher loads, the AP7365-10WG-7 reaches *typical* 8mV static voltage load regulation and 30mV dynamic voltage load regulation under line and load transients.The AP7365-10WG-7 also features an integrated error amplifier and internal compensation to provide a typical output voltage accuracy of 1.5%.

The AP7365-10WG-7 also features protected from overtemperature operation and overcurrent protection which is provided by an externally adjustable current limit using external resistor.For high-current applications, the AP7365-10WG-7 has active-to-standby mode control.In standby mode, the device draws only 0.6µA quiescent current.In addition, the AP7365-10WG-7 features a low standby quiescent current of 0.2µA at 25°C to reduce power consumption in conventional standby states.

The AP7365-10WG-7 also features excellent ripple rejection and a low output noise of 4.5µVrms.It also provides fast start up time for applications where quick product powering is required.The AP7365-10WG-7 also offers a built-in shutdown/enable input for applications where standby modes are desired.The AP7365-10WG-7 also has a built-in output capacitor voltage-balancing circuit to reduce output noise in regulated DC-to-DC converters.

The AP7365-10WG-7 is available in the ultra-small 1mm x 1.2mm, 0.5mm pitch, 6-pin SOT-23 package.It is also RoHS- and Green Product-compliant and halogen free.The AP7365-10WG-7 is also fully industrialized, making it suitable for a variety of applications such as low voltage system power, low voltage battery power, and noise-sensitive A/D and D/A converters.
