APEK4915MLP is a evaluation board and kit categorized in the Evaluation and Demonstration Boards and Kits field. It is mainly used for the demonstration, evaluation and prototyping of applications that use the UltraScale+ FPGA.

The board’s features include 8 lanes of 28-bit Ethernet for data transfer and integration, 10Gigabit Ethernet, 16 lanes of 8-bit HyperRAM expansion, 16 lanes of differential PCIe Gen2 (including Interlaken), DDR3 SDRAM SODIMM with up to 8 GB memory, hardware debugging capabilities, and a low-power power management solution. It also includes a user-defined IC, the P3SM-USoC, which supports the built-in AI processor and Xilinx CORE-Gen, a high-performance binary 16-bit multiplier for hardware/software integration.

The basic working principle of the APEK4915MLP is relatively simple. Basically, the board contains two layers of circuitry connected together, a substrate layer and a logic layer. The substrate layer contains the power management solution and the FPGA, while the logic layer contains all the necessary components, such as the Ethernet ports, PCIe, Xilinx CORE generators, memory subsystems, etc., that are required to perform her related tasks.

The embedded P3SM-USoC manages system power and allows for the integration of high-performance uses of data, such as real-time data streaming, image processing, and machine learning applications. The board also supports built-in AI processor for executing on-board machine learning algorithms.
