The APHBM2012SURKSYKC (Advanced Panel Hinged Backlighting Microcontroller 2012 Single Unit Red, Green, and Yellow Key Switch Controller) is a versatile, discrete LED indicator module that has been designed to provide robust and reliable LED indication solutions in a variety of applications. The APHBM2012SURKSYKC is designed for applications that use either single-pole or multipole switches, and it can be used to control, monitor, and report the status of all switch events simultaneously. The key to the APHBM2012SURKSYKC’s versatility is its onboard microcontroller and its use of two high-speed CAN (Controller Area Network) buses. CAN is a high-speed serial communication network that was developed by Bosch and is used in automobiles and industrial applications. The microcontroller manages the communication between the LED indications and the CAN bus. This allows the user to customize the LED indication for each application, as well as to control the LED indication from a central location.
The APHBM2012SURKSYKC’s onboard microcontroller also handles the communication between the LED indications and the host controller.
