Solid State Relays
Solid State Relays (SSRs) are an electronic switching device that uses a semiconductor to control and switch a load. SSRs consist of a control section and a load section, with their main part being the switching element. The switching element is usually an insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT). The control signal moves the gate, which, in turn, switches the load.
AQK1211 is a special type of SSR with its working principle depending on the resistance of the switching element to change when its temperature changes. This type of SSR uses a temperature sensitive material as its switching element. This material is heated and cooled by a heater and a cooler, respectively, which is driven by the control voltage.
