AQZ104

The AQZ104 is an electronic device often referred to as a solid state relay. It is a single-pole double-throw (SPDT) device that is controlled by a dc voltage signal. This device is designed to operate under a given range of input voltage and to switch the output voltage between two different load circuits. It performs the same task as a mechanical relay but without the need of mechanical contact points.The AQZ104 is designed to replace conventional electromechanical relays and functions similarly in many applications. It is used primarily to control the switching of AC and DC loads with a solid state device. This device is also commonly used in motor control applications such as speed control, motor braking and other pulse width modulation (PWM) applications.The AQZ104 is an optically isolated device, which means it protects the controlling circuit from being overloaded and damaged due to current or voltage transients. This device features terminals for the input control voltage, the output load voltage, and other accessories such as indicator LED’s, snubbers, etc.The main components of the AQZ104 are the output SCR, input optocoupler, and two power resisters. The input optocoupler, also known as a triac driver, isolates the control voltage from the rest of the circuit of the AQZ104. The two power resistors reduce the trip currents, which is required for the optocoupler and also is used for the safety feature of the device.The AQZ104 is designed to operate in a wide variety of applications, depending on the driving voltage and load current requirements. It can switch up to 8A AC, 10A DC and 4A of complex non-resistive loads. The input voltage range for the AQZ104 is from 4.5V to 32V, and the maximum switching voltage is between 800V AC and 1000V DC.When the AQZ104 is in the off state, the output load is turned off and the gate of the SCR remains open. When an input control voltage is applied, the SCR’s gate gets triggered and the output voltage starts to flow through it, turning the load on. When the input control voltage is removed, the SCR’s gate is released and the load is turned off. This switch-on/switch-off behavior is the core working principle of the AQZ104.The AQZ104 is a solid state relay that can be used for a variety of switching applications.
