AR8035-AL1A is a physical layer IC designed for Ethernet applications. It contains a physical layer transceiver, drivers and receivers, and is compliant with IEEE 802.3 standards. It is a highly integrated solution for 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet and supports both standard and Half-duplex operation. The integrated transceiver operates at 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps, while the integrated receiver operates at 1 Gbps.The AR8035-AL1A integrates state-of-the-art receiver and circuitry architectures to provide enhanced electrical performance and integrated functions for reliable operation. The physical layer transceiver includes an adaptive equalizer, DFE-LFE, CRC checker, scrambler and descrambler, Symbol Clock Recovery (SCR) Lock detector, and Interframe gap control. The integrated drivers offer a wide dynamic range and ensure low-jitter performance. The integrated receivers include Automatic Gain Control (AGC) and Automatic Polarity Control (APC) for maximum performance.The AR8035-AL1A is also compliant with the latest industry standards and supports Auto-Negotiation. It employs both full-duplex and half-duplex communications between two interface devices. The device also features full power-down mode and several low power options. The AR8035-AL1A offers the highest level of integration and simplifies system designs by reducing power consumption and reducing the number of external components required.The working principle of the AR8035-AL1A is based on the IEEE 802.3 specifications. The device communicates via the signal medium, which is the conductor between two devices. The AR8035-AL1A transceiver transmits the digital data signal along the signal medium in the form of electrical pulses or current.
