The top-off charging can maintain the voltage at the high voltage level in order to avoid the damage to battery by overcharge.

With AS8506C-BQFP-A, the mobile Li-Ion device can be safely and accurately charged to maintain the optimal performance. This PMIC also integrates a complete set of protection circuit including over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature, short-circuit, reverse charge and reverse polarity, ensuring the safety of the charging process. In addition, the device also includes a system reset capability, allowing it to automatically reset and restart the charging process when any of the protection circuits are activated.
