They have reliable, robust contacts and are easy to handle and install.The ASB2R terminal blocks have several advantages including low insertion and retention forces, uniform and reliable connection, and compatibility with standardisation of UK Rail. They are also very easy to handle and provide a secure connection.The ASB2R terminal block is made from a spring-steel clip which forms the contact and has an insulation body with integrated strain relief. The spring-steel clip provides a tight connection, ensuring the contact is maintained even with high vibrational forces. The integrated design provides strain relief at the same time.The working principle of the ASB2R terminal block is based on the spring-steel clip which is clamped around the conductor cable. On the front side of the terminal block, the cable is inserted and the clip is loaded by the clamping action of the housing. The integrated and symmetrical design ensures reliable contact with the conductor cable. As the conductor cable is inserted, the spring-steel clip springs open and forms a secure contact on the conductor cable.The contact forces in the ASB2R terminal block are small and can be adjusted for different conductor cable sizes, allowing the usage of small to large diameter cables. The contact forces can be adjusted with the adjustment screw on the backside of the terminal block. With the adjustable contact forces smaller conductor cables can be inserted, and with larger cables the contact forces remain low even under extreme dynamic load.The ASB2R terminal blocks are suitable for the connection of large currents (up to 63 A). The connection of individual wires or stranded conductors is possible with a cross-section up to 16mm². The robust and reliable connection allows for multiple connection cycles over a long period of time.The ASB2R Busbars and Splice kits are ideal for connecting multiple conductor cables. The pre-assembled components provide quick installation and high contact forces. The contact forces are adjustable and have multiple connection points. The busbars are insulated to IEC 60529 IP20 protection class and are available in different colours for easy identification.The ASB2R has a large range of application fields from the low voltage to the medium voltage sector, from automotive to industrial. It is ideal for applications like machinery, cabling, busbars, panel boards, transformer connections and many more.In summary, the ASB2R terminal blocks provide a simple, reliable and secure connection for a large range of applications in different sectors.
