The ASMDC075F-2 is a 75amp PTC resettable fuse designed for over-current protection and power supplies in industrial and commercial settings. It is ideal for applications such as high current audio amplifiers, power supplies, HVAC equipment, lighting, power tools, motor controllers, battery chargers, and automotive applications. The ASMDC075F-2 operates as a two-stage over-current protective device. In the first stage, the fuse trips at a rated current of 75A in order to protect the connected device and other associated components from being damaged due to an excessive current flow. In the second stage, the PTC resettable fuse gradually reduces the current in order to allow the device to self-reset. Once the device has self-reset, the current is again allowed to flow without interruption.
The ASMDC075F-2 utilises a thermoresistive element, which when exposed to higher currents than its rated current, will gradually increase its resistance.
