AT17LV256A-10JI is a configuration Prom used to program FPGAs. A FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) is an integrated circuit designed to be configured by the user after manufacturing. It provides the user with the flexibility to customize the function, logic and even the physical size and pin-outs of the integrated circuit. FPGAs are used in a wide range of applications such as image processing, data control, telecommunications, military/aerospace and more.

AT17LV256A-10JI is a 256 Kbits serial-response cryptographic configuration prom in a 20 pins chip carrier package. It comes with 4 configurable parameters, which include the speed grade, temperature range, security feature and timeout feature. It can be programmed using the company’s ISSP (In-System Self Programming) or Serial Configuration Interface (SCI) supporting a range of programming devices such as USB, parallel port or RS-232 (Serial). The programming process is fast and reliable, making it an ideal choice for FPGA applications.

The AT17LV256A-10JI is designed to store up to 32K words of user-selectable configuration data up to 256K bits. It provides two operating modes, masked mode and unlocked mode. In the masked mode, all CR protection bits are programmed and the configuration data is read-protected. In the unlocked mode, all CR protection bits are not programmed and the configuration data is writable by the user. Furthermore, it features advanced features such as non-volatility, low-cost, high write speed, high reliability and radiation tolerant.
