AT24C08AN-10SC memory is a low-power, 8K-bit, two-wire serial electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM)device. It is organized as 1K x 8 and has 3.0 and 5.0 volt versions to allow access to both 5.0 and 3.0 volt systems. This device has been developed to provide a low-volatile storage solution for a variety of applications. The AT24C08AN-10SC memory can be accessed via the two-wire serial interface which normally consists of a clock line (SCL) and a data line (SDA). The device also features auxiliary clock functions that can provide additional protection. The AT24C08AN-10SC is designed for constant operation over a broad temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.

The AT24C08AN-10SC is a non-volatile memory device integrated with a 2-wire serial interface and is designed to store data, configurations, and settings for low-power applications. It provides 8 kilobyte of electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM) organized as 1 kilobyte words. It is used in memory intensive applications such as temperature and pressure sensing, data logging, display driver configuration, motor control and storage of useful products, such as machine safety data, program code, machine configuration data, and user preferences. In addition, the device is well suited for applications requiring more than 8K words of EEPROM yet low-cost memory requirements.

AT24C08AN-10SC memory comes with two working principles- the I2C protocol and the Shifting In and Out SPI protocol. The I2C bus is an industry-standard for simultaneous data-transmission and control on a bus communicating within one layer or master-slave connection between two or more devices. It works on two wires of SDA-Serial data line and SCL-synchronous clock line. This protocol also allows for seven-bit addressability and multiple device addressing. The alternate SPI protocol used in this device works on four wires of SCK-Serial Clock line, MISO-Master Input Slave Output, MOSI-Master Output Slave Input and the Slave select (SS) line. In SPI, the master transmits data to and from slave devices. This allows communication between multiple masters and multiple slaves.

AT24C08AN-10SC memory is widely utilized in automotive industry, industrial equipment and automation, medical electronics and personal electronic devices. In automotive industry, AT24C08AN-10SC is used to store settings and configuration data.
