The AT25SF041-MHD-T is a 4Mbit (512KB × 8) Serial Flash memory, mainly used in industrial, IoT and automotive applications. By combining the advanced CMOS process technology, the ability to program, erase, and read over a million times, the single-contact four-wire serial interface and tiny memory footprint, these features enable it to serve as an ideal solution for most embedded applications, providing a high level of flexibility and performance.

The AT25SF041-MHD-T Serial Flash memory uses a standard four-wire (SPI) serial interface for programming, erasing, and reading. It is organized as 512K words of 8 bits each. It provides accessible operations such as sector erase, chip erase, write and read, with low-voltage programming, program/erase suspend, and companion cells for advanced features such as configuration block unlock. It has an on-board voltage monitor and selectable write protect. Additionally, it is also available in an industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.

The AT25SF041-MHD-T Serial Flash memory provides a flexible memory solution ideal for most embedded application needs, including current and next-generation microcontrollers, complex logic, computing platforms, and automotive applications. The working principle of the AT25SF041-MHD-T Serial Flash memory is based on the same principles as other types of non-volatile memory, such as EEPROM and flash. Non-volatile memory is an integrated circuit that stores data in a non-volatile form, meaning the data remains even when the power is turned off. In the case of the AT25SF041-MHD-T Serial Flash memory, the device uses charge trapping technology to trap and store charge on the floating gate of a MOSFET transistor in the chip. This stored charge provides the mechanism for storing the data.
