The first unit is the Central Processing Unit (CPU). It is responsible for carrying out the instructions of the program. The instructions are stored in the Random Access Memory (RAM). The CPU can access the RAM to read and write data. The second unit is the Program Memory (PMEM). It is used to store the program or code that will be executed by the CPU.The AT89C51 has an 8-bit data bus. It allows the CPU to receive and send data to other parts of the system. To send data, the CPU puts the data on the data bus. Then, the data is read by the destination module. The CPU can receive data from the destination module by taking the data from the data bus.The AT89C51 has on-chip Flash memory that stores the program code.
