RF Receivers are used for wireless communications, like TV/radio broadcast signal receiving and cordless phone service, to receive and process the radio frequency (RF) signal that transmitted through the air. In this technology, Data can be transmitted over long distances without using wires or cables. To achieve this, an RF receiver processes the incoming signal and converts it into the form of an audio or digital signal.

The ATA3742P3-TGSY is an RF receiver that have been manufactured given the specific purpose of Receiving OTA (Over-the-Air) Digital and Digital Terrestrial TV signals. This receiver utilizes a powerful and advanced single-chip from Silicon Labs, and is particularly equipped with one of the most advanced techniques for digital signal processing, specifically: Digital Signal Processing (DSP). The RF receiver also takes advantage of a switched-mode power supply as a way to reduce energy consumption, which makes it very efficient.

The ATA3742P3-TGSY consists of several elements, which interact with each other to perform the signal reception and the extraction of the required information.
