ATA6624-PGQW is an innovative transceiver developed by Atmel. It is designed to replace traditional transceivers in industrial and automotive applications, such as industrial-grade control systems, in-vehicle communication systems, and automotive infotainment systems. This transceiver is suitable for applications with data rates up to 16Mbps and extension rates up to 10Mbps.

ATA6624-PGQW supports CAN FD, CAN 2.0B, CAN L2.0, LIN 2.2, and K-Line protocols. Its integrated transceiver core is a combination of a low power transceiver (at up to 6Mbps) and a high performance transceiver (at up to 16 Mbps). This provides an extremely low-power solution for high speed applications.

In order to provide reliable communication, ATA6624-PGQW has an advanced error detection system which includes a parity and an Advanced Cyclic Redundancy Check (ACRC). The integrated Flexible Data Rate (FDR) feature allows the transceiver to detect the bus data rate with a few cycles and automatically configure itself accordingly. The transceiver is also capable of accepting and interpreting data frames in two formats - Baseframe and Extended Frame format.
