The ATS140BSM-1E crystal is a quartz crystal that is specially designed for clock synthesizer oscillators and highly-integrated timing modules.The ATS140BSM-1E crystal is designed to operate within a range of 15MHz to 55MHz and offers increased performance levels compared to conventional PLLs. Its applications include telecoms, computer systems, as well as automotive and audio applications.In addition to its frequency range, the crystal has a low power consumption, a high Q factor, and a low ESR value, making it a good choice for complex oscillator designs. The crystal has a small package size of 2.1 mm x 1.6 mm and is rated for temperatures between -40°C and 125°C.The ATS140BSM-1E crystal works by using a quartz crystal resonator to create oscillations at a specific frequency. The crystals have natural resonant frequencies which depend on the crystal’s size and cut. The quartz resonator forms a tank circuit with an external inductor and capacitor. The inductor and capacitor have values that are selected to match the crystal\'s resonant frequency.
