The AZ2185D-ADJTRG1 is part of Monolith Semiconductor’s family of programmable low-dropout linear voltage regulators (LDO). It is easy to use with a wide input voltage range and adjustable output voltage range of +1.8 to +18V. Designed in accordance with AEC-Q100 quality standards, it offers stable output performance over the entire temperature range of -40 to +125°C.

The AZ2185D-ADJTRG1 works by using a proprietary control circuitry to regulate the output voltage. During operation, the output voltage is monitored with the output voltage sense circuitry and kept within a tight tolerance range regardless of input voltage, line and load variation, or temperature. This level of precision is achieved by creating a reference voltage from an internal bandgap reference, precision-tailored transistors, and a voltage divider (either internal or external). The output voltage can be adjusted over the entire range using an external resistor divider or digitally using a PMBus bus.

The AZ2185D-ADJTRG1 is capable of operating at up to 18V and is suitable for a variety of applications requiring a precision regulated output voltage. It has a wide input range of 3V to 10V and a maximum current of 2A. The device supports a variety of fault detection mechanisms such as synchronization, thermal shutdown and overcurrent/undervoltage lockout.
