Snap Action

Snap action, also referred to as mechanical switching, is the type of electrical switch used for many industrial, automotive, commercial and consumer electronic applications. It uses the action of a lever to move a mechanical switch contact, usually at a speed much faster than conventional switches.

The AZC11015H snap action switch is designed for a wide range of applications. It is made up of an operating head, plunger, operating handle and operating arm. It can handle up to 300 volts AC and can be used in a wide range of temperature ranges. The switch also has a long service life and is UL, CSA, CE and ROHS approved.

The AZC11015H is a single-pole, double-throw switch. It provides a normally open contact when the operating handle is in the off position, and a normally closed contact when in the on position. It is typically mounted on a panel and can be used as a safety switch, a safety interlock or a limit switch.

The working principle of the AZC11015H is quite simple. When the handle is pressed, the plunger pushes the operating arm which then actuates the internal switch contacts to change from either the normally open to the normally closed position. This is done in an instant and when released, the handle bounces back to its original position and the switch reverts back to its default position.
