Snap Action, Limit Switches

The AZH2212 snap action, limit switch is used to detect the physical position of an object, and is used when accuracy, repeatability and high reliability are required. It consists of a hollow metal cylinder with two switches in it trigger. When the pressure is applied, or when the cylinder reaches a preset limit, the snap-action switch is actuated, causing the contacts inside the cylinder to close. The AZH2212 switch is designed for long-term reliable operation and high temperature applications.

Application Field

The AZH2212 switch is used in a wide range of applications, including automotive controls, industrial control, electronic circuits, hose and cable assemblies and sensors. It is commonly used as part of an automatic control system to detect the opening or closing of a door, gate or valve, or to sense the start or stop of a motor, pump or other machinery. It can also be used to detect the presence of an object or material, such as the detection of a metal plate in a metal detector, or detecting a piece of paper in a printing machine.

Working Principle

The AZH2212 switch consists of a spring-loaded toggle mechanism, with a plunger fitted with a trigger that has two metal contacts. The switch is mounted on a base plate and connected to electrical wiring. When the plunger is pressed, it causes the two contacts to close, generating an electrical signal. When the plunger is released, the two contacts open, again generating an electrical signal. This electrical signal is then used to initiate one or more actions, such as actuating an alarm, lighting a lamp, or initiating a motor.

The AZH2212 switch is designed to be used in many applications where accuracy, repeatability and high reliability are needed. It is robust, reliable, and has a long life. The switch can be used in temperatures ranging from -40 to +500C and operates at up to 250V AC. It has an ambient humidity range of 5 to 95%.
